Cannabis health and safety champion Genifer Murray has been a driving force in the development of a credible, safe medical marijuana industry in Colorado and across the U.S. She is the Founder and CEO of Carbon Blue Consulting, which provides science-driven insights on health and safety, laboratory setup, training, education and more. Before founding Carbon Blue, Murray served as CEO of CannLabs, the pioneering medical marijuana testing laboratory that she founded in 2010.

Murray is a leading advocate for legalization and responsible regulation, emphasizing the need for product safety, cannabis testing, and quality assurance, and has become a trusted resource for legislators, industry organizations, and the media. Murray is also the co-founder, with her father, of the luxury cannabis jewelry line GENIFER M, and is currently developing the National Academy of Cannabis Plant Sciences, an academic initiative that will make vital insights on cannabis plant science and industry best practices widely accessible. She is an active member of industry organizations including the National Cannabis Industry Association and Women Grow.
